A top Democrat was secretly colluding with Russia to undermine Trump’s presidency.
A high ranking Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee leading the phony Russia investigation was secretly colluding with a Russian Oligarch lobbyist to set up a private meeting with former British spy Christopher Steele.
Sen. Mark Warner, D-VA, texted privately last year with a Russian lobbyist about “not leaving a paper trail” and setting up a private meeting with Steele in London last year.
“We have so much to discuss u need to be careful but we can help our country,” Warner wrote Adam Waldman, the Russian lobbyist, on March 22, 2017.
“I’m in,” Waldman replied.
Steele is the former British spy who worked for Fusion GPS to compile the dossier. Fusion GPS received nearly $10 million dollars from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee to fund the dossier.
The Clinton-funded dossier was used by the FBI to obtain a warrant under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act to spy on President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign.
It also triggered the phony Russia investigation around the same time Warner was texting Waldman about meeting Steele, raising questions about why so many top Democrats were involved with the dossier from the very beginning.
Conservative speaker Mike Tokes uploaded a screenshot of the text message, which also includes two other congressional documents showing Waldman worked directly with Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska.
The story gets even worse.
Waldman leads the Endeavor Group in Washington, which is described by Fox News as being “best known for signing a $40,000 monthly retainer in 2009 and 2010 to lobby the U.S. government on behalf of controversial Russian billionaire Oleg V. Deripaska. Deripaska had his visa revoked by the State Department in 2006 because of charges, which he has denied, that he has organized crime ties.”
Waldman is also closely connected to Clinton, as referenced in the two congressional documents uploaded by Tokes.
More importantly than Clinton’s fingerprints being all of this, it’s also deeply troubling that Warner spoke about not leaving a “paper trail” for his committee or anyone else to learn he was colluding with the Russians to promote the phony dossier.
Warner should recuse himself from the entire Russia investigation and be forced to testify about why he was colluding with the Russians.
