Jim Carrey Comes Unglued… Sends Trump Disturbing Message With Demented Painting

Early last week, we chronicled supposed funnyman Jim Carrey’s descent into politically-inspired art involving the Trump administration. Then, it was a ghoulish portrait of White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Now, Carrey — whose behavior has become erratic, even by Hollywood standards, in recent years — is back, and our ersatz Gauguin has several lovely paintings of Trump administration figures for you to take a look at. Except for, well, one we can’t really show you because of the content.

First, let’s refresh your memory at the Sarah Huckabee Sanders “portrait,” a word which is stretching it considering the so-called artwork like it was created in fifteen minutes in a bad iPad sketch program with the help of controlled substances.

The caricatures actually began a while ago, although we (again) can’t really show you the one he made of Putin and Trump. This is the Sanders one, though, which should give you some idea of where baseline resides:

While this looks like something Carrey should be having long talks with his psychoanalyst about, he decided to continue to further abase himself and the Trump administration through his own form of art therapy.

In this case, that therapy also involved borrowing some intellectual property:

Due to the lack of talent employed in this artwork’s creation, I’m left in a state where I can’t even guess who the Wicked Witch of the West Wing’s flying monkeys are supposed to be.

I guess that’s a matter better left to art historians. Really bored or dumb art historians.

On Thursday, Carrey treated us to another masterpiece, “Self-Unmade Man,” this time featuring Jared Kushner.

See, because get it, his family’s property management company owns 666 Fifth Ave. and 666 is the number of the Devil and all he cares about is money and flames are all around him, like in Hell? What rich satire Carrey employs. The abstruse imagery, which one wouldn’t normally think of given the subject material he’s been handed, really shows you that this is a man stretching his aesthetic and metaphorical wings.

Then, on Friday, he issued a yet another piece in his oeuvre, “Fifty Shades of Decay.” We can’t actually show you it, because it basically features the president in flagrante delicto with a blonde woman (who may or may not represent Stormy Daniels; your guess is as good as mine, since Carrey is pretty much an unintentional cubist when it comes to his personal style) who’s ripping off the president’s hair while the presidential seal of the United States covers the pertinent parts of act.

If you feel this is something you really need to see, the link is here.

As I said in my previous article about this, I feel slightly bad pointing out that Carrey is going out like this (or at least seems likely to go out like this; without the intervention of a very skilled team of clinicians and/or Haldol, I don’t necessarily see his career prospects improving any).

However, the sad thing is that people actually seem to be embracing this stuff. As of Sunday morning, the semi-pornographic depiction of Trump was approaching 100,000 likes and had over 27,000 retweets. That’s something you really want to see showing up in your Twitter feed. The flying monkeys one did even better.

The moral of the story is that the internet will embrace your insanity just so long as it’s anti-Trump, albeit with no concern for your mental well-being. See also: LaBeouf, Shia.
