On Wednesday, Democrat Congresswoman Ilhan Omar clashed with President Trump’s envoy to Venezuela, Elliot Abrams, during a House hearing, and in a show of disrespect, refused to acknowledge Abrams correct name, referring to him as “Mr. Adams” instead.
“I don’t understand why members of this committee or the American people should find any testimony that you give today to be truthful,” Rep. Omar said, leading to a fiery exchange with Abrams, who said her remarks were an “attack.”

At one point during the hearing, Omar asked Abrams if he believed a massacre in El Salvador was a “fabulous achievement,” to which the envoy replied,”That is a ridiculous question.”
“I am not going to respond to that kind of personal attack, which is not a question,” asserted Abrams, who later stated, “I don’t think this entire line of questioning is meant to be real questions, and so I will not reply.”

Since her recent election to Congress, Rep. Omar has faced mounting backlash from both Republicans and her fellow Democrats regarding a series of remarks which many have deemed to be anti-Semitic.
Omar’s repeated and open condemnation for Israel and Jews has earned the young Congresswoman national scorn, prompting several petitions calling for her removal from office.
